All kinds of old ruins and historical buildings with great cultural significance can be found in Baisha Township. These include: the Tongliang Great Banyan spread out over 900m2; the Nanpu Thirty Martyrs' Temple; Home of Chang Pai-wan at Watong; Chengcian Old City Ruins; Jiangmei's anthropomorphic Wuyin statues carved by devout believers, the magnificent Houliao Weiling Temple and the Chihmeiwangliang Stone Tablet – these are all records of past settlement and a precious part of Penghu's cultural heritage.
The Sea-Crossing Bridge connecting Tongliang with Si Island is famous throughout Taiwan as the "First in the Far East". As for the windmills at Jhongtun, they are used by the people of Baisha to borrow the strength of the heavens.
